SN Report

Subh-e-Nau has a long history of plantation projects, with remarkable tree survival rates. In mid-September, we organized such activity as part of the 2025 Monsoon Plantation Drive.

The event was a collaborative effort of Subh-e-Nau and Serena Hotels where the members of Pakistan Boy Scouts and Girl Guides planted 150 indigenous fruit tree saplings. All the participants, along with the senior management of the scouts association, enthusiastically took part in this green activity. “I’m really pleased to see so many young scouts coming here to contribute their part for a greener tomorrow,” says Shahida Kausar Farooq, chairperson Subh-e-Nau. “The massive destruction caused by devastating floods is largely linked to deforestation. This necessitates all of us to plant more and more trees to repair the damage,” she added. The Scout participants were briefed on the numerous benefits trees provide to human civilization and got practical training on urban gardening techniques. Such healthy activities are necessary to teach scouts the value of teamwork for a shared goal. The management of Serena Hotels rewarded the participants for completing their green mission with a delightful high tea. The organizers further discussed various environmental issues and explored ways to collaborate on sustainability initiatives in the future. The event concluded with a memorable group photo of the participants to commemorate the occasion.
